The Mt Shasta Effect
At the end of August, I had a transformative retreat in Mt Shasta, CA hosted by the amazing Faith Streng. Mt Shasta itself is a dormant volcano in northern California (like actual northern California, not what SoCal refers to as anything north of LA - Mt Shasta locals would want me to say that). But other than that geological fact, the energetic and spiritual effects are just nonstop. Here are just a few fun facts:
It is the root chakra of the planet
It has energetic lines through LA and Sedona
Lemurian energy and presence are still potent here
Revered as an indigenous holy site of a goddess
One of the crystal pyramids of Atlantis is buried safely beneath the mountain
Sasquatch sitings galore!
Site of a pyramid dedicated to Isis, in alignment with Giza, channeled from Archangel Metatron (which I went into for an hour!)
Numerous other magical creatures and experiences
I went into this experience with the intention to align with, get inspired, find my way to express my soul’s purpose in this life and support my business intentions. What I kept getting most of the time was, just chill out, just receive, stop doing. That, in itself, is such a profound lesson and one that keeps coming up for many of us. We are programmed to keep pushing boulders uphill and just hoping that reward will come soon. We are also programmed that the reward won’t come for people who don’t work hard. Instead, I think what was coming through was to align with what is already there, what is already true: we have an infinite abundance within us and around us that we need only align with and that energy will flow. Now what that looks like for each one of us will be different, but the journey is similar - surrender to the Light within, get familiar with it, talk to it, receive from it.
The most emotional moment of the whole retreat was the manifesting workshop. We were instructed to write a list of things we want: big and small. So I had listed things like be in a magical loving relationship with my soulmate, have a successful abundant career, a new oven, a new car with AC, travel to inspiring places, etc. We were to pick the most charged one and my logic ego brain wanted the career. I’m so programmed that work comes first because that’s the only way I can have money - through lots of hard work, pushing that boulder uphill. But the tears started to come when I read the first line about the soulmate. “No,” I said to myself. That’s secondary, that can wait, that’s not something I need right now. I need to earn a living. “Love,” is the word, the energy that kept coming. “Maybe I can just fudge this and pick career because I can’t do this in front of everyone,” I thought. “Choose love.” I just started weeping through the entire process (I think this was about a 2 hour workshop?). Each step was more emotional than the last. The part I didn’t think I could get through was picking a partner and telling them about how this manifestation has already come true and what it’s like. I sobbed the entire time and my gracious partner held space for me to express. I was a snotty, teary mess by the end.
Every protective ego part of me wanted to resist the idea of a relationship of unconditional, nurturing love. It was a risk, I’ve missed red flags before I’ll miss them again, this person doesn’t exist, if you get invested it will end suddenly, it’s too good to be true, etc. However, the tears were coming from my higher self, my soul, showing me what that love ACTUALLY feels like: peace, possibility, safety, emotional depth. I reprogrammed my brain through this exercise and EFT tapping to believe this type of love does exist and I already have it. Because of this reprogramming, my brain will now look for signs of this in the world rather than only looking for old patterns.
Here I am now a few weeks after this retreat. It took me out of commission for a minute - resting, integrating, hit with a chest cold that forced me to stop working so hard and demanding things from myself. I still practice daily thoughts of what unconditional soulmate love looks like. I’m not out there seeking it, but I’ve aligned myself to it. I’ll know what to do when something comes up.
The greatest part of this lesson was that I was being shown that there is no difference between the soulmate and the career. It’s all the same abundant love energy. I think my guides knew that I could better understand and wrap my head around soulmate unconditional love first and then extrapolate that to career. In career, I can also have unconditional, unlimited experiences with soulmate clients and audiences who we all benefit from each others’ presence. Now that I’ve accepted that I am enough, I am worthy, I don’t need to audition or perform for ANY kind of abundance or love energy, I am going to be receiving life in abundance. I removed the self-imposed (society-imposed) boulder to push uphill. There is no hill. There is no boulder. There just is love energy. Whew! I’m so excited for that flow!
